Welcome to the Moarhof farm in Vahrn near Brixen. On our farm you have the opportunity to stay overnight, while actively experiencing the farm life. In our farm you will find the following areas. Livestock farming, viticulture and farm holidays. We keep Tyrolean gray cattle in our stables and the typical South Tyrolean grape varieties Sauvignon and Kerner thrive on our vineyards.

From the farm to the breakfast basket
The Moarhof with its five vacation apartments is situated in a wonderful location between vineyards, forests and meadows, with a view of the countryside. Away from the hustle and bustle, yet centrally located, it offers the perfect starting point for exploring the whole of South Tyrol - of course only after a hearty breakfast, which you can book on request. You can choose between a breakfast basket or the fresh bread service. The breakfast basket offers you various farm and local specialties. Fresh cow's milk directly from the farm, free-range eggs from our happy hens, homemade fruit spreads, seasonal fruit and much more. Depending on your taste, you can have your breakfast basket put together just for you by us. With the fresh bread service, the baker delivers fresh bread directly to your doorstep in the morning.

Is it your dream to help with the grape harvest for once in your life? Interested in visiting our farm's own alpine pasture where the cows graze in summer? Or would you like a short tour of the farm? With us, you have the opportunity to get to know and experience everyday life on the farm!
Young farmer Daniel will welcome you to the farm and give you all the necessary details. He is actively supported by his father Johann, his girlfriend Chiara and his grandma Theresia.
“On vacation you finally have time to do the things you’ve always wanted to do. For us that means: feeding calves, petting rabbits, visiting the cows on the alpine pasture or going for a walk through the vineyard. Our guests really appreciate these small but authentic experiences.”

The farm's own alpine pasture, the Zirmait-Alm, is a real insider tip and welcomes you from the beginning of June to the end of September. Here, during summer, our calves graze on the steep meadows and the pigs wallow in the mud. Hungry hikers can enjoy a tasty meal cooked on a wood stove.

The ideal location of the Moarhof: not far from the ski and Plose hiking area and the City of Brixen removed. Another plus point: you can reach the motorway in just 10 minutes.

Thanks to the nearby bus stop, you can reach your destinations quickly and in an environmentally friendly way.

Sustainability is important to us: We obtain our energy from our own wood chip plant as well as from solar and photovoltaic systems.

Here you can experience the hay harvest and grape harvest up close, as our meadows and vineyards are right next to the farm.

Animal diversity: cows, cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens
You will be welcomed to our farm as soon as you arrive farm dog Max greets. During your stay you have the opportunity to get to know the other animals on our farm. In the stable cows and calves and there are people outside cats, rabbits and chicken. The special thing about our cows is that they not only produce good milk, but also high-quality meat. In addition, because of their sure-footedness, they are ideal for the summer on our farm's own alpine pasture.

On the first floor, you'll find the parlor, which can be used as a living and communal space. It invites everyone to gather together, where the elderly farmer Theresia enjoys sharing stories from the past. Board games are available for you to comfortably spend a rainy day. The parlor also houses the farm library, where you can browse through various interesting reads.
In our farm shop, located right at the reception, you can purchase our homemade products. Among the selection of wines (Kerner, Silvaner, and Sauvignon), seasonal fruit spreads, apple juice, and eggs, there's surely something for everyone.
In the southern part of our house, you'll find the bicycle and ski storage room. There, you can securely store your bicycles and charge them for free if needed. Skis and ski boots can be kept dry and safe here.
You have the option to wash and dry your laundry with us. On the first floor, you'll find the laundry room equipped with a washing machine and dryer, which you can use for a fee of8 euros after arranging it with us.
With the BrixenCard, you can experience Brixen and its holiday villages for free or at reduced rates. You have access to museums, cable cars, the Acquarena, the ice rink, and the use of the public transport network in South Tyrol. The guest card is valid from the day of arrival up to and including the day of departure and is included in the price. All family members or members of a travel group receive their own card.
